During the end of the 2003 summer camp season, the Sand Hill Scout Reservation staff lost one of it's great members. Jeff Sharlow died in a drowning accident on July 25th, 2003. Unveiled later were the plans to honor Jeff with the construction of the Jeff Sharlow High Adventure Center, which will be an addition to the Sand Hill climbing, rappelling, and COPE area. This project includes the construction of a new training center pavilion and continued work on the low COPE area for the Sand Hill Trail program, along with some other items. The location of the new building will near the camp climbing area.
